melissa Siple Owner and founder
Melissa A. Siple, the owner and founder of BENEFITNESS is one of an elite group of fully certified, Level 2 STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainers. Melissa is the only Level 2 Trainer in Rhode Island and nearby CT/MA.
TRAINING HISTORY: Melissa completed her extensive STOTT PILATES training over a 2 year period, training in MA , NY and Canada.
In the mid-nineties, Melissa explored the Original Method in NYC. She was then certified through Physicalmind - The Method. Further research brought her to the STOTT PILATES Method, and she now travels the US training STOTT PILATES Instructors for their certifications.
With a background in physical therapy, and over 20 years in the fitness industry, Melissa brings rehabilitative / preventative focus to her Pilates training.
CERTIFICATIONS: Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer, Level 2, Certified Master Trainer and CEU provider for the American Council on Exercise (ACE), ACSM Personal Training certified, Certified CPR / First Aid Instructor, Certified RI Emergency Medical Technician, and RI's ONLY Certified Budokon Instructor. Jessica selby instructor
Jessica Selby graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Journalism and Political Science but always had an interest in fitness. Since her childhood she studied gymnastics, then in college she ran cross country and even joined the boxing team while studying abroad.
Jessica is a Stott Pilates trained in Mat, Reformer and CCB (Intensive Cadillac Chair and Barrels.) She is also certified as an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) group exercise instructor and a Mad Dog spinning instructor.
Jessica has been working in the fitness industry for nearly ten years as both a private instructor and a group exercise instructor at various locations in the state. She continually expands her knowledge base by regularly taking continuing education courses offered in each of her areas of expertise.
When not teaching, Jessica is busy raising her two young daughters and trying to find some time for the things she enjoys...writing, running and doing pilates.
Maribeth is a STOTT trained Pilates instructor. She holds many certifications from Personal Training, Group X, Spin, Kick Boxing, Yoga, Pilates, and has completed Pilates trained in Mat, Reformer and props.
Maribeth is a graduate of URI with a double degree in Kinesiology and Psychology combining her passion for how the body moves and how the mind works. In addition to her formal education, she has an extensive background as an accomplished company dancer with the RI State Ballet and as a kickboxing instructor.
Maribeth Carcieri is also President of KC SHOES at the Pier in Narragansett.
Bob siple Instructor
Bob started martial arts as a kid, and has maintained a lifelong interest holding a Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts. He is a Krav Maga Instructor (Force Division / LE Instructor) and a TRX instructor.

Patricia became involved in Pilates 8 years ago and has numerous certifications including:

Not only does Patricia have strong background in Pilates, but also in many different disciplines of Martial Arts including:Uechi-Ryu Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, Judo & Ju-jitsu.
Patricia received her Black Belt in Uechi-Ryu Karate in 1997, and has assisted in Women's self-defense Programs ever since.
In addition to her bodywork, Patricia has been a practicing Dental Hygienist for 35 years.
She has been married for 31 years with 2 wonderful daughters. Patricia enjoys golfing, weight training and various cardio classes.
Anne anderson Instructor
STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor, Mat. Anne Anderson is a busy mother of 2 boys, who began her interest in teaching fitness with a children's fitness and nutrition program 6 years ago.
After suffering an injury, Anne began Pilates classes to aid in her recovery and has been hooked ever since.
Anne started taking private sessions in 2001, completed her Anatomy and Mat trainings in 2002 and is currently enrolled in her Reformer training program at the STOTT PILATES Certification Center in Beverly MA under Master Trainer PJ O'Clair. She is also expert in BOSU core conditioning.
Brenda Richtmeyer instructor
Brenda discovered the benefits of Pilates exercises while vacationing at a health-spa resort in Taos, New Mexico.
Upon her return home, she continued her Pilates training with Melissa Siple and soon found that she no longer suffered from low back pain and that her posture greatly improved. Her intense interest in Pilates led her to become an instructor in the STOTT PILATES method.
Brenda moved to the East Greenwich area in 1997, where she currently practices massage therapy. Brenda graduated from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in New York City in 1996. Her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology couples perfectly with Pilates.
Brenda is a proud Mat & Reformer instructor here at BENEFITNESS and is eager to take on new students!
